G20 Brisbane

If you haven't realised by now I'm from Brisbane, Australia. A relatively lively city on Australia's East Coast. Brisbane receives direct flights from Los Angeles, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai just to name a few.

Brisbane hosted the G20 Leaders Summit on 15-16 November 2014. An event that hosted the world's 20 top economic leaders for a weekend.

This meant one thing to aviation photographers - a massive variety of state aircraft over one weekend.

Aviation photographers were spoilt with aircraft from all corners of the globe - Germany, Russia, Mauritania, Spain, South Africa, America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France. The list goes on.

It was simply mind blowing the variety and quantity of visiting aircraft to Brisbane.

I've worked hard for over a decade to build a good relationship with Brisbane Airport Corporation. An opportunity of the lifetime came up when BAC asked myself and a good buddy of mine Lance Broad to go airside for the weekend to photograph the state aircraft. An opportunity we both took up without hesitation. It was a weekend with not much sleep and plenty of action.

The team at BAC were superb and the experience was unforgettable. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity.
